Coloured denim

I went in to buy some jeans, without success, but found this very colourfull character instead. He did tell me his name but I'm afraid I've forgotten.

Bentley

I've seen Bentley around town a few times in the last couple of years but this is the first time I've met him properly (after chasing his owner around the supermarket).

QVB After Hours

I've seen Japanese couples having wedding photos taken in Botanic Gardens and occasionally Hyde Park but it seems that the Queen Victoria Building in the evening after the shops shut is also popular.

Wombats and Uggs

I like wombats and I like Uggs.

Mardi Gras

The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras runs for the next two weeks. The main parade is on Saturday 5 March. Here is a look at the parade route along Oxford Street, Darlinghurst. 

Choices

Too much choice and no one to give you any help or advice. Also when I did find someone to explain exactly what I needed to install my letterbox he treated me as though I was a stupid woman. I really don't like these places. They are also extremely user unfriendly if you don't have a car. Bring back the friendly, local hardware shop.

Spring

Each year, David Jones, one of Sydney's major department stores has a display of spring flowers throughout the store. I found out by chance this year from the barrista at my favourite coffee shot. Can't believe I nearly missed it. This year there were lots and los of orchids. As well as proteas (I think they are proteas). I also thing the big red one is a waratah, the state symbol of New South Wales  possibly a Gymea Lily. I still think the others are proteas of some kind and the coffee shot typo stays as it works rather well.

Visiting the decorated windows of one of Sydney's major department stores (DJs) is a Christmas tradition. I thought they were quite good this year.
