At first glance, I took this to be a paperbark tree, but its not. It is a eucalypt that has been attacked by a borer of some sort.Lovely texture to this image, Ann. Good detail work.*grin*

I thought, this tree would be very old, but it was attacked by insects. Eucalypts are very robust. A good choice for that theme day. Greetings from the winterly Stuttgart.
The olive is my favourite European tree and of course the Gum is my favourite Aussie tree. Lovely. I miss the eucaplyts of Australia.
