Sky Watch Friday

Sydney Airport's east-west runway, closed for the past 18 months for a safety upgrade, has now reopened. the peace and quiet was good while it lasted. I was too slow to get the 747 jumbo that flew low over my parent's retirement village and only managed this smaller domestic flight.
For more Sky Watch from around the world, drop in to the home of Sky Watch Friday.

Shooting planes is very hard with a digital camera, but you got it right here.

So pretty. You could even make two images out of this one shot, by cropping the plane only and the delicate upper frame for one image and the clouds and the rooftops for the second image. Nicely done.

Great capture. The plane is nicely framed by the world around it.

Great capture! Love the plane against the blue sky and such lovely puffy white clouds! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Nice photo! Love the modern place against the old fretwork on the verandah.

Good shot. My sunsets today were from a few weeks ago on a Sunday evening. I was driving home and noticed the amazing show in my rear view mirror, so found a good lookout spot to take some snaps. The clouds were full and fantastic looking west but the sky was clear towards the east.
