You know, the city is full of trees like this, often in malls and arcades. But there is something about trees like this that is sterile. It is as though they have been decorated with design in mind rather than people. I like a tree to be higgledy-piggledy. I like it to look as though Mum and Dad and the kids decorated it with the dog running everywhere and upsetting the apple-cart. I like living in the past, obviously!!
I agree. These particular ones are very design oriented. I'm very cynical when it comes to the way Christmas is celebrated these days. Its all about consumerism with very little of the original meaning left.
