Waiting for the Sun

I wonder if this works in B&W. I can imagine the honey of the stonework. Maybe the white and green of the sun umbrellas ... I agree the lines are nice and strong ...

I don't think it does work in b&w. There's not enough contrast. There wasn't a lot of colour in the shot, it was beiges and browns I think, not strong colours, although I thought it would work because of the lines.

This week has been quite a departure for you on Meandering. I like this a lot ... more definite choices of yours ... less trying to please viewers. But I would say that wouldn't I?

Here is a shot with strong lines: go down to the OH and walk up the Tarpeian Stairs. Just before the curve at the top of those stairs, turn north toward the OH. You have the vertical lines of the fence, the horizontal lines of the OH steps, and the curves of the sails.

I tried it but mucked it up and have intentions of trying again ... one of these days ...

Where are the Tarpeian Stairs?

Just before you get to ManO'War steps and BEFORE you enter BG to walk around Farm Cove ... turn right! Yes into the sheer wall of sandstone! That is where the TS start ...
I will post my mucked up version on Saturday ...
