Looking at Light (3)

HP Barracks, possibly. Now here I prefer the one on the right. I liked the lines and the complementary shadows immediately.

Your question re Fire Water. I was thinking of going on the Saturday but could be talked into another night as well. When is it Thurs to Sun or Fri to Mon. I know they are 615 then 715 then 815. I would probably aim for the last two, missing those pesky strollers!

Ahha ... when you said that Ann, it occurred to me that the Saturday is when I am choofing down to Minnamurra Falls. Only return to Sydney at 530 so not likely to want to go shooting down at CQ. How about the Friday sessions. That way the Sun/Mon can be fall backs if the weather is shite or if the photos were.

I did not say as such, but the blue arch is ... mmm ... tawdry. It is plumbers plastic piping with blue lights. And the area is too busy with too much backdrop. Although there were lots of people down there last night. I will walk through again on the long w/e and see if the ambience is any better.

Interesting comparison, like Julie, I too like the one on the right better.

Is that the statue in Hyde Park?
Sydney - City and Suburbs

Yes, it is. I think it looks better in the colour version as well, you can actually see the statue but we have to print in b&w and that one good a good review anyway. Would like to try it again using a different lens and longer depth of field to get the shadow in focus as well.

Yeah, I agree. The colour version does look better.
