BMMF - Waiting

I spotted this lad when I was walking down to the festival site. I came across him later working as one of the festival volunteers.

No. 92

This is the art deco(?) house from which yesterday's detail was taken. It should answer your questions about yesterday's post.

Special Theme Day - The Tenin Technique

This Special Theme day is a 5th Anniversary Tribute to Eric of Paris Daily Photo from fellow CDP Bloggers. Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, all CDP Bloggers are invited to post a tribute shot from their own city using The Tennin Technique of placing the camera on the ground to make an image, or of skewing/tilting the composition, or in some way imitating a specific photo Eric has posted or a common subject matter of Eric's photos.

Congratulations Eric, long may you blog.

Mardi Gras 3

Fancy dress amongst the crowd consisted of masks, funny hats of all kinds, angel wings, horns and feather boas - usually a combination of several of these.

Mardi Gras 1

I don't usually go anywhere near the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade but I was in town anyway so thought I'd wander up and take a look at the crowd. Far, far too many people for my liking so I wandered the outskirts watching the passers by before making my escape before the main event. I was nowhere near close enough to see the action anyway.

Theme Day - Passageway

This is not the photo I had prepared for today's theme, that one is stuck on my PC which I can't access as the hard drive seems to have died. Luckily I had not uploaded the lastest shots from my camera. So apologies for the quality of posts in the near future until I find out what's wrong with the hard drive and whether it can be fixed or has to be repaced - and how much it will cost. I'm now working on my baby netbook with Picassa which, while a terrific program, can't do what Photoshop Elements can. I'm also editing using the touch pad and not a mouse, which is all sorts of fun.
