Fun with Ronnie

They were filming an ad for a well known burger chain in Martin Place last week.

Choices

Too much choice and no one to give you any help or advice. Also when I did find someone to explain exactly what I needed to install my letterbox he treated me as though I was a stupid woman. I really don't like these places. They are also extremely user unfriendly if you don't have a car. Bring back the friendly, local hardware shop.

Another of the frequent demonstrations that take place in Macquarie Street (the home of the NSW Parliament and several courts).

Of the three panoramas I took on this trip, this is the only one that came remotely close to working. I'm still learning how to take a panorama properly but I definitely learnt how not to do it.

I have no idea why someone has sprayed red and blue stripes through the undergrowth in Hyde Park.

The large and small chess boards in Hyde Park are well used on sunny days.

Spring

Each year, David Jones, one of Sydney's major department stores has a display of spring flowers throughout the store. I found out by chance this year from the barrista at my favourite coffee shot. Can't believe I nearly missed it. This year there were lots and los of orchids. As well as proteas (I think they are proteas). I also thing the big red one is a waratah, the state symbol of New South Wales  possibly a Gymea Lily. I still think the others are proteas of some kind and the coffee shot typo stays as it works rather well.

A horse is a horse, of course, of course

Not Mr Ed but outside Hermes in Market Street last Thursday night. No idea why.

Came across this one a while back outside Parliament House.Its a protest against the Game Council which issues licences to hunt game.

There must be a better way

Actually, there is, but it costs money to put the wires underground and at the moment we are a safe Labor electorate in a state with a Labor government so there's nothing to be gained.
