you have showed the true Australia. I am so glad you captured the sign guy at the top. I see him so often but have never been able to capture him. Have a great Australia Day :)
Hopefully, this weekend I will return to my reading of everyone's blogs.
You asked a question about the aperture of my lead photograph of Bondi Beach the other day.
The aperture for the top photograph was F8. This was my starting point. I know that F8 and F11 are sweet-spots for my lens, and I wanted a long depth of field. Having cut out light by using F8 rather than something more open - like F4 - and with the shadows over the beach (it was 6:56pm) - I then set the ISO to 1250, which is unusual for me! It could easily have been 1000 or even 800 when I see the resulting s/s which is 1/3200. But I did not go back and adjust the ISO which I probably should have and could have avoided some of the graininess.
