This is a bilby, a highly endangered and very cute, species of bandicoot. At Easter, instead of chocolate eggs and bunnies, try a chocolate bilby and help to save the species. This one is a large male.
In a tent on the main "road" quite near the entrance/exit. I stumbled across it on the way out, it was Featherdale Wildlife or whatever they are called. I was just lucky that they had the bilby out when I wandered in.
I would happily eat a chocolate bilby or six to help these little creatures Ann, so sad that many of our unique Australian animals are going down this track.

Had not realised how big they actually are.
