Semi

I met Semi, from Samoa, on the train and was taken with his tatoos. He explained that they are very traditional but unusual because most people only have the sleeve. His other arm bore the names of his two lovely daughters.

Ann, good on ya for getting these photos!!
Good you put your 100 portraits talking skills to work.
Semi has a nice face and you captured it well.

I think traditional tattoos look better than the modern ones. Nice portrait of Semi.

Dina, you are right. This is one I could never have taken a year ago. I can't thank Julie enough for persuading me to take part in 100 Strangers.

I agree with Steffe, too. I much prefer these traditional 'meaningful' tattoos than the plastic stuff that is plastered everywhere nowadays!
