Exercises in Composition (2)

Composition - The aim of this exercise is to explore the way the frame of the camera isolates your subject in the viewfinder and to increase your awareness of the frame and the choices you make that affect composition. Use only outdoor natural light. Choose one medium sized inanimate object with an interesting shape and make use of the following compositional elements: rule of thirds, angle/point of view, dynamic diagonal/diminishing perspective, graphic shapes/elements, balance/counterpoint, curves/rhythm, edge of frame, contrast of tones or subjects, selective focus/depth of field, pattern/texture, size and scale. This one is probably dynamic diagonal, size and scale, texture and hopefully rule of thirds.

Yeah, me too. Is this another course or just a self-course.

Creative Skills - Sydney Community College. Not learning a lot that I didn't already know but its forcing me to put it into practice and try and think and see differently.
