Sydney Harbour YHA

A couple of weeks ago I showed you the exterior, common area and surrounding dig site at the new Sydney Harbour YHA. At that time I couldn't get on to the roof (residents only). Last Friday I met some friends from interstate who were staying there and not only went up to the roof but had a good sticky beak at the rooms - just about the best value you can get in Sydney for a double ensuite (with hairdryer and tea/coffee/jug). It may be a hostel but its better than a lot of hotels I've stayed in. Then there's that view.

It sure beats the Youth Hostels I stayed in in Europe in the 60s. Oh to be young again.

Terrific shots, Ann. If I recall you said they were hand-held. Wow!

We will firm up that 'Vivid' excrusion. I particularly want to do to the drama thing they hold in Campbells Cove and see the lights down Macquarie Street for his 200th.

It is good to hear that we have good quality hostels. I hope the youth respect them. I've heard bad reports on how they spoil the hostels. Great night shot.

I walked past the YHA and hardly noticed, must go back. Superb night shots - and without a tripod!
