Theme Day - My corner local shop

My favourite Lebanese pizza shop. In the morning the local kids buy their breakfast zatar pizzas on the way to school and I often drop in on the way home to pick up a few pastries for a quick and easy dinner.

To see local shops around the world have a look at these participating daily photo blogs: Click'>http://www.citydailyphoto.com/portal/themes_archive.php?tid=15">Click here to view thumbnails for all pizza for breakfast? No worse than a full British I suppose.

A lot healthier than a full British. Zatar is a mixture of herbs mixed with a bit of oil and spread on the pizza dough. Tastes good too.

I love the people who sit outside. They seem to buy into the whole idea of s l o w living!

I struggled with interpretation of the theme and came very close to posting a coffee shop photo. In my mind that is definitely my favorite place to shop. A restaurant would be second and a grocery store would be way down on the list.

Lebanese food would be great to have around - even if they call it pizza!

Good choice for the theme.

Looks good (and yes, much better than a full english breakfast ... not hard, really)

They all look so very happy outside their shop. I love pastries - sweet in preference to spicey!

A wonderful post and one that makes me hungry. I haven't had breakfast yet.

We love pizza for breakfast and zatar sounds much healthier than the American covered with cheese version! I'll have to look for a recipe online and give it a try!
