In Solidarity

Iranians and others around the world are encouraged to release green balloons into the sky at 1.00 pm Friday Iranian time.

In the words of fellow blogger Green - "People are called to send "green" balloons to the sky on Friday in Iran and any where else in the world. Sky is ours if they ban us express ourselves on the ground. They may shoot our balloons but at least we can be happy that no one dies."

Well done, Ann! I've also read Green's words and the last sentence really impressed me.

Julie, I had the same question! I saw Green's post, then saw these in the portal. Must find some green balloons to post. Very well done, thank you.

I'm wishing one of their green balloons will drift westward to us; it's only 1570 km from Tehran to Jerusalem.

It is important to show that the rest of the world knows and cares....

I got amazing comments on my blog today from Iranians who saw the post. I don't know how they found it. They are thrilled to hear of our solidarity with them. Some other commenters are hopeful, some cynical. The discussion is great. Thanks so much.
