Vivid - C/C by Angela Chong

This futuristic and functional sculpture is made from acrylic sheets fashioned into this public chair. It is illuminated by night with low energy, colour changing LED lights to bring its playfulness to light. The work uses light to blur the lines between reality and imaginary fiction.

Singaporean artist Angela Chong is an accomplished artist who has exhibited in festivals in Europe, Asia and Australia. Her work is interactive, juxtaposing objects and characters by creating a narrative using light. She seeks to blur the lines between fiction and reality. Chong participated in Nes Artist Residency in Iceland in 2010, Youkobo Art Space in Japan in 2008 and in the Czech Republic’s Sense of Fear Festival in 2006.

A great idea for a bench and light installation combo. Terrific backdrop looking at it in either direction.

I will not get to this festival this year, but am enjoying reading the posts from both you and from Jim.
