Theme Day - Books

In keeping with the Sculpture by the Sea artworks that I have been showing you this week, here is a sculpture of books. It is a detail from the Irish Famine Memorial at the Hyde Park Barracks Museum.

Click here to see how participants from around the world have interpreted today's theme.

We have a similar sculpture of a book, in my home town. That is not what I chose to share however your post make me reflect on the wonderful idea of honoring books in a sculpture.

Good choice for the theme. I will try to get back into the swing of that for December. Tomorrow though I am off on the Historic Houses Open Day. Lot's of Art Deco with any luck!

What a lovely, lovely choice. To be honest I hadn't a clue what I was going to do until I happened upon the bloke at SXS the other morning!
