Great Train Expo
A couple of weeks ago I took myself to the Sydney Great Train Expo at Central Station. Mainly because I needed a subject for a class assignment (documentary photography, which is why they are all b&w) but it turned out to be fun. I hadn't been on a steam train since I was a kid.
As well as several steam engines they had the Southern Aurora and a modern Countrylink train, all of which you could wander over. Trains certainly attract some odd people.
(I'm playing with a trial of a photoshop download so today's shots are antiqued, which I thought would suit the subject).

Sure glad you went. I love seeing the old steam locomotives of my childhood. There is nothing quite like them.
The antiquing is great. You asked sometime ago what K does to get her mono images. She uses apps in PS and in Lightroom. Which ones I don't know.
That treatment worked so well on these images Ann, they are brilliant and look like they could have been taken a hundred years ago!!
I enjoyed your 'steam' photos. The antiqued style looks great for this subject.
The antique look is marvellous. I should explore Photoshop. Saw some amazing effects at the Photography exhibition at Darling Harbour on the weekend.
Very nice job with photoshop on these photos.
