Lord Howe Island - Ned's Beach

This is Ned's, my favourite of all the island beaches - stunning location, rock shelves and pools, great snorkelling with coral and bright fish and fish in the shallows that can be hand fed. Something for everyone. Shame its at the top of a great big hill. It was also the only really sunny day of the whole week.

We did not spend much time on the beaches, so I would like to rectify that when I next go. Is this on the other side of the island to Pinetrees and the other end to the aerodrome?

Sort of, although the airstrip is in the centre of the island. You go through "town" and up the hill then bear left past the cemetery and down to Neds. Wherever you stay should give you a map - Pinetrees does.

Wonderful beach Ann, as you say made all the more fun as there's so much to do and see.
