Okay so where is this from and pointing which direction. AI think that be the lagoon on the left, so we are pointing north, so you are out near the airport somewheres.
On top of Transit Hill, behind Pinetrees, beside the airport and in the centre of the island. Made me realize unless I lose an awful lot of weight and my knees improve, my hiking days are over. I don't remember it being a terribly difficult walk but it nearly killed me. Shame because I couldn't do the harder walk (Malabar and Kims Lookout) that I really wanted to do.
I want to do that walk up the back of the airport between the sandhills. I often go hiking by myself so that I can set my own pace and have qualified success.
It was hot and extremely humid, I also had a time limit as I had booked in for lunch so had to get back. I also went the long way round, from near the Admin building and across the top of Pinetrees instead of going straight up from the beach which steeper but shorter. In better conditions and with no time limit I may have coped better. I did climb as far up Mount Eliza as you could go (only half way at the moment) another day and it wasn't too bad.

One photo in each direction.

Spectacular view Ann, that would have been quite a trek, but so worth it for these shots.

Beautiful island, I've always wanted to visit.
