I only found the eye for geometry by looking at blogs that show it all the time. I found that I needed to ignore the landscape and look at the detail. Take today's image for example: you have geometry in the shape of the tents (or whatever they are called!). But you need to get in close for the detail to become obvious: close and maybe lower to the ground.
Hah ... says she ... in the lower to the ground stakes I have a natural advantage.
