I've featured St Mary's, Sydney's Catholic Cathedral, in several posts - mainly for Sky Watch, and always the exterior. Here are some shots of the interior.
Hi Ann, thank you for your comment! As you may have noticed, my VDP is new, so I am totally stunned when I see new comments, from people I don't know. May I ask how you arrived on VDP. Please come again. This cathedral looks fantastic. Have you read "The pillars of Earth" by Ken Follet? Surely you have, since you are a book addict. That book changed the way I look at cathedrals!

Makes me want to go and hunt up a cathedral, but there's a bit of a cathedral shortage on round here at the moment!

This is just fantastic ... you sure got the perfect ligthing!
Terrifically warm colours, Ann. Cathedrals can look so massive and heartless on the outside.
These are intense warm tones and amzingy uplifting.
Wow - it is so difficult to take interiors when the ceiling is that far away. You have captured it so beautifully!!!
Thanks for these gorgeous photos of this church.

Oh wow! It's really beautiful, especially the windows behind the altar. And the lighting is exceptional. Great shots!
Ahh, my favorite place in Sydney! How beautiful she is! Thanks so much for these reminders.
